Book of Marriage
باب: ما أمره الله تعالى به من اختيار الآخرة على الأولى، ولا يمد عينيه إلى زهرة الحياة الدنيا، فقال تعالى: ولا تمدن عينيك إلى ما متعنا به أزواجا منهم زهرة الحياة الدنيا لنفتنهم فيه ورزق ربك خير وأبقى
Chapter: What Allah the Exalted commanded him (peace and blessings be upon him) of preferring the Hereafter over this world and not extending his eyes towards the splendour of worldly life, the Exalted saying: "And do not extend your eyes towards what We have given some groups of them to enjoy, the splendour of the life of this world, that We may test them thereby; and the provision of your Lord is better and more lasting"
Bayhaqi 13318 — What Allah the Exalted commanded him ﷺ of preferring

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ هُوَ الرَّمَادِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ، وَأُعْطِيتُ جَوَامِعَ الْكَلِمِ، وَبَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ إِذْ جِيءَ بِمَفَاتِيحِ خَزَائِنِ الْأَرْضِ فَوُضِعَتْ فِي يَدِيَّ " قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: " فَقَدْ ذَهَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنْتُمْ تَنْثُلُونَهَا " ⦗٧٧⦘ رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ وَحْدَهُ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been helped with awe, and I have been given comprehensive words. Once, while I was asleep, the keys to the treasures of the earth were brought and placed in my hand." Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has gone, and you are extracting them (those treasures).
