Book of Marriage
باب: ما أمره الله تعالى به من اختيار الآخرة على الأولى، ولا يمد عينيه إلى زهرة الحياة الدنيا، فقال تعالى: ولا تمدن عينيك إلى ما متعنا به أزواجا منهم زهرة الحياة الدنيا لنفتنهم فيه ورزق ربك خير وأبقى
Chapter: What Allah the Exalted commanded him (peace and blessings be upon him) of preferring the Hereafter over this world and not extending his eyes towards the splendour of worldly life, the Exalted saying: "And do not extend your eyes towards what We have given some groups of them to enjoy, the splendour of the life of this world, that We may test them thereby; and the provision of your Lord is better and more lasting"
Bayhaqi 13307 — What Allah the Exalted commanded him ﷺ of preferring

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْ رِزْقَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ قُوتًا "، رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ، وَأَخْرَجَاهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ غَزْوَانَ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Allahumma ij'al rizqa ali Muhammadin qutan' (O Allah, give the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) provision enough to keep their backs straight).
