وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ أَبُو سَهْلِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْقَطَّانُ، بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ أَبُو سَهْلٍ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْحَرْبِيُّ، ثنا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بُعِثَ إِلَى الصَّدَقَةِ، فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ قَالُوا لَهُ: أَيْنَ الْمَالُ؟ قَالَ: " وَلِلْمَالِ أَرْسَلْتُمُونِي أَخَذْنَاهَا مِنْ حَيْثُ كُنَّا نَأْخُذُهَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَوَضَعْنَاهَا حَيْثُ كُنَّا نَضَعُهَا ".
It is narrated from Ata bin Abi Maymunah (may Allah have mercy on him) that Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) was sent to collect sadaqah. When he returned, the people said: Where is the wealth? He said: Was it for wealth that you sent me? We took it from those from whom we used to take it in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and gave it to those to whom we used to give it in his (peace and blessings be upon him) time.
