أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو عَمْرٍو عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ السَّمَّاكِ بِبَغْدَادَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ بْنِ مُلَاعِبٍ، ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ الْمُعَلِّمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنِ اسْتَعْمَلْنَاهُ عَلَى عَمَلٍ وَرَزَقْنَاهُ رِزْقًا، فَمَا أَخَذَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ غُلُولٌ ".
Abdullah bin Buraydah narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Buraydah, may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whomever we appoint as an official, we will provide him with sustenance; whatever (expense) he takes beyond that, he is a betrayer."
