قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، أنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ: كَانَ عَلِيٌّ وَزَيْدٌ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا " يُوَرِّثَانِ مِنَ الْجَدَّاتِ الْأَقْرَبَ فَالْأَقْرَبَ ".
It is narrated from Imam al-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Ali and Sayyiduna Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to make the nearest of the grandmothers heirs.
