أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أنا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا وَزَيْدًا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا " كَانَا يُوَرِّثَانِ الْقُرْبَى مِنَ الْجَدَّاتِ ".
It is narrated from al-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Zayd and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to make the nearest grandmothers heirs.
