وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ عَارِمٌ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {إِلَّا الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ حِيلَةً وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ سَبِيلًا} [النساء: ٩٨]، قَالَ: " كُنْتُ أَنَا وَأُمِّي مِمَّنْ عَذَرَ اللهُ تَعَالَى ذِكْرُهُ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي النُّعْمَانِ وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَرْبٍ.
It is reported from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning this verse: "Except the oppressed among the men, women and children who are unable to devise a plan and are not directed to a way" [Surah al-Nisa': 98], that is, the weak among the men, women and children who had no means and found no way out. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "My mother and I were among those whom Allah excused."
