وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْحَرَشِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثنا زُهَيْرٌ، ثنا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَتِ امْرَأَةُ بَشِيرٍ: انْحَلِ ابْنِي غُلَامَكَ، وَأَشْهِدْ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ ابْنَةَ فُلَانٍ سَأَلَتْنِي أَنْ أَنْحَلَ ابْنَهَا غُلَامِيَ وَقَالَتْ: أَشْهِدْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: " أَلَهُ أُخْوَةٌ؟ " قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: " فَكُلَّهُمْ أَعْطَيْتَ مِثْلَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَهُ؟ " قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: " فَلَيْسَ يَصْلُحُ هَذَا، وَإِنِّي لَا أَشْهَدُ عَلَى جَوْرٍ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يُونُسَ..
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the wife of Bashir said: Give my son a gift and make the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) a witness to it. He came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: The daughter of so-and-so asks me to give her son a gift, and she has said: Make the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) a witness. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Does he have brothers?" He said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Have you given all of them the same as you have given him?" He said: No. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is not right, and I do not bear witness to injustice."
