أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ بِلَالِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ مِنَ الْمَعَادِنِ الْقَبَلِيَّةِ الصَّدَقَةَ، وَإِنَّهُ أَقْطَعَ بِلَالَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ الْعَقِيقَ أَجْمَعَ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لِبِلَالٍ: " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يُقْطِعْكَ لِتُحْجِرَهُ عَنِ النَّاسِ، لَمْ يُقْطِعْكَ إِلَّا لِتَعْمَلَ " قَالَ: فَأَقْطَعَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ لِلنَّاسِ الْعَقِيقَ.
Al-Harith bin Bilal narrates from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) collected charity from the old mines. He (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Bilal bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) the land of al-Aqiq. In his time, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not give it to you so that you would keep it from the people; rather, he gave it to you to work it. Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) allotted that land among the people.
