Book of Reviving Barren Land
باب: لا يترك ذمي يحييه؛ لأن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم جعلها لمن أحياها من المسلمين
Chapter: A dhimmi is not left to revive it, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave it to the Muslims who revive it
Bayhaqi 11785 — A dhimmi is not left to revive
اُردوEn
وَبِهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، ثنا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: " إِنَّ عَادِيَّ الْأَرْضِ لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلَكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدُ، فَمَنْ أَحْيَا شَيْئًا مِنْ مَوَتَانِ الْأَرْضِ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ ".
It is reported from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): "The land is first for Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and for you afterwards. So whoever revives barren land, he is more entitled to it."
