Bayhaqi 11775 — Whoever revives dead land that belongs to no one

Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father (Urwah, may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever revives dead land has more right to it, and the one with an unjust root has no right." Hisham said: "The unjust root" means that someone takes possession of another person's property and then digs a well in it.
