Bayhaqi 11326 — A woman's wealth is given to her when she reaches
وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، أنبأ عُبَيْدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ، أَخْبَرَتْ أَنَّهَا أَعْتَقَتْ وَلِيدَةً لَهَا وَلَمْ تَسْتَأْذِنْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُهَا الَّذِي يَدُورُ عَلَيْهَا فِيهِ قَالَتْ: أَشَعَرْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنِّي ⦗٩٩⦘ قَدْ أَعْتَقْتُ وَلِيدَتِي فُلَانَةً؟ قَالَ: " أَوَفَعَلْتِ؟ " قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: " أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَوْ أَعْطَيْتِهَا أَخْوَالَكِ كَانَ أَعْظَمَ لِأَجْرِكِ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ.
Mother of the Believers Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I freed one of my slave-girls but did not ask permission of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When the day came on which he would visit her, she said: O Messenger of Allah! Do you know that I have freed such-and-such slave-girl of mine? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you really?" She said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had you given that slave-girl to your maternal uncles, you would have had a far greater reward for it."
