أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْجَبَّارِ، ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، أنبأ شُعْبَةُ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْقُرَظِيِّ قَالَ: " عُرِضْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ قُرَيْظَةَ، فَشَكُّوْا فِيَّ فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُنْظَرَ إِلِيَّ: هَلْ أَنَبَتُّ؟ فَنَظَرُوا إِلِيَّ، فَلَمْ يَجِدُونِي أَنْبَتُّ، فَخَلَّى عَنِّي وَأَلْحَقَنِي بِالسَّبْيِ ".
Sayyiduna Atiyyah al-Qurazi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: On the day of Qurayzah I was presented before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and they were in doubt about me. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered: "Look at his pubic hair, whether it has grown or not." They looked at me and the hair had not grown, so they let me go and added me to the captives.
