Bayhaqi 11215 — Reports on increases in a pledge
وَعَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَالَ: سُئِلَ شُرَيْحٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ ارْتَهَنَ بَقَرَةً فَشَرِبَ مِنْ لَبَنِهَا، قَالَ: " ذَلِكَ شَرِبَ الرِّبَا ".
Imam Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: May the milk of a pledged cow be drunk? He said: That is usury (riba).
