Chapter: A traveller who finds no water performs tayammum at the start of the time and prays, and does not repeat it even if he finds water at the end of the time

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: ذِكْرُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَهْمٌ لَيْسَ بِمَحْفُوظٍ وَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ، قَالَ الشَّيْخُ: وَفِيهِ اخْتِلَافٌ ثَالِثٌ.
(a) Abu Dawud (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The mention of Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) in this hadith is an error; it is not preserved, rather it is mursal.
