وَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ، أنا الرَّبِيعُ، أنا الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " الدِّينَارُ بِالدِّينَارِ، وَالدِّرْهَمُ بِالدِّرْهَمِ لَا فَضْلَ بَيْنَهُمَا هَذَا عَهْدُ نَبِيِّنَا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْنَا، وَعَهْدُنَا إِلَيْكُمْ ".
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "A dinar for a dinar and a dirham for a dirham; there is no excess (tafadul) between them." This was the covenant of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to us, and this is our covenant to you.
