أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " تَكُونُ إِبِلٌ لِلشَّيَاطِينِ وَبُيُوتٌ لِلشَّيَاطِينِ، فَأَمَّا إِبِلُ الشَّيَاطِينِ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهَا يَخْرُجُ أَحَدُكُمْ بِنَجِيبَاتٍ مَعَهُ قَدْ أَسْمَنَهَا فَلَا يَعْلُو بَعِيرًا مِنْهَا وَيَمُرُّ بِأَخِيهِ قَدِ انْقَطَعَ بِهِ فَلَا يَحْمِلُهُ، وَأَمَّا بُيُوتُ الشَّيَاطِينِ فَلَمْ أَرَهَا " كَانَ سَعِيدٌ يَقُولُ: لَا أُرَاهَا إِلَّا هَذِهِ الْأَقْفَاصَ الَّتِي يَسْتُرُ النَّاسُ بِالدِّيبَاجِ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are camels and houses that belong to the devils too."
(1) "As for the camels of the devils, I have seen them: one of you sets out with fine camels which are fat and well-fed, yet he does not ride any of them, and he passes by his brother whose mount has given out, and he does not give him a ride. As for the houses of the devils, I have not seen them." Sa'id says: I think they are these cages (litters) which people cover with silk curtains.
