Bayhaqi 10254 — A voluntary sacrificial animal that is driven

Sa'id bin al-Musayyab (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Whoever sets out with a voluntary sacrificial camel and it is about to perish, so he slaughters it and then leaves the space between it and the people so that they may eat it, nothing is due from him. If he eats any of it or orders that it be eaten, he must pay a penalty for it.
