Bayhaqi 10120 — Making an exception (stipulation) in Hajj

Alqamah bin Abi Alqamah narrates from his mother, and she from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she used to say: "Make an exception in Hajj (by saying): O Allah, it is Hajj that I intend and for it I have set out; if You complete it, then it is Hajj, otherwise it is an Umrah." She herself used to make the exception and would order those who were with her to make the exception.
