Sa'id bin al-Musayyab (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyidah Duba'ah bint al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I intend to perform Hajj; how shall I enter ihram for Hajj?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Say: 'Allahumma inni uhillu bil-hajj in adhinta li bihi, wa a'antani 'alayhi, wa yassartahu li, wa in habastani fa-'umrah, wa in habastani 'anhuma jami'an fa-mahilli haythu habastani' (O Allah, I enter ihram for Hajj, if You permit me to do it, help me in it and make it easy for me; if You hold me back, then it is an Umrah; and if You hold me back from both of them, then my place of leaving ihram is wherever You hold me back)."
