بَابُ أَحَادِيثِ الْقَهْقَهَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَعِلَلِهَا
Chapter on hadiths about laughing in prayer and their reasons
Hadith 601
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ الْكُوفِيُّ ، بِمِصْرَ ، نا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، نا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " بَيْنَا نَحْنُ نُصَلِّي خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ أَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ ضَرِيرُ الْبَصَرِ فَوَقَعَ فِي حُفْرَةٍ ، فَضَحِكْنَا مِنْهُ ، فَأَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِإِعَادَةِ الْوُضُوءِ كَامِلا وَإِعَادَةِ الصَّلاةِ مِنْ أَوَّلِهَا " . قَالَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ : وَحَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مثل ذَلِكَ . الْحَسَنُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ضَعِيفَانِ ، وَكِلاهُمَا قَدْ أَخْطَأَ فِي هَذَيْنِ الإِسْنَادَيْنِ وَإِنَّمَا رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ الْحَسَنُ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمِنْقَرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، مُرْسَلا ، وَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ كَثِيرًا مَا يَرْوِيهِ مُرْسَلا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَمَّا قَوْلُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، فَوَهْمٌ قَبِيحٌ ، وَإِنَّمَا رَوَاهُ خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، رَوَاهُ عَنْهُ كَذَلِكَ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، وَهُشَيْمٌ ، وَوُهَيْبٌ ، وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، وَغَيْرُهُمْ . وَقَدِ اضْطَرَبَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ لِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، فَمَرَّةً رَوَاهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ ، وَمَرَّةً رَوَاهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَقَتَادَةُ . إِنَّمَا رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، مُرْسَلا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ عَنْهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، وَمَعْمَرٌ ، وَأَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ وَغَيْرُهُمْ . وَيَذْكُرُ أَحَادِيثَهُمْ بِذَلِكَ بَعْدَ هَذَا.
Abu Mulaīh narrates from his father: Once we were performing prayer behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), during which a man came who was blind, and he fell into a pit. So we laughed, upon which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered us to perform complete ablution again and to repeat the prayer from the beginning. This narration is also transmitted with another chain, in which both Hasan bin Dinar and Hasan bin ‘Ammarah are weak narrators; they made a mistake in its chain. Hasan al-Basri has narrated this report from Hafsah bint Salman, from Abu’l-‘Aliyah. Hasan frequently narrates mursal reports from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). As for Hasan bin ‘Ammarah’s connection to this narration, he has transmitted it from Khalid, from Abu Walid, from his father, so this is a very reprehensible error. Khalid has narrated this report from Hafsah bint Sirin and Abu’l-‘Aliyah, from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Sufyan al-Thawri, Hammad bin Salamah, and other narrators have also transmitted it in this way from them. Ibn Ishaq has reported confusion in his narration from Hasan bin Dinar; sometimes he narrates it from Abu Qatadah, sometimes from Abu Mulaīh, from his father. Qatadah has narrated this report as a mursal narration from Abu’l-‘Aliyah, from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Sa‘d bin Abu ‘Arubah, Ma‘mar, Abu ‘Awanah, and Sa‘d bin Bashir have narrated it from him, and other narrators have also transmitted it from them. After this, we will mention the hadith of these individuals.
Hadith 602
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نُصَيْرٍ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُصَلِّي خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ ضَرِيرُ الْبَصَرِ فَتَرَدَّى فِي حُفْرَةٍ كَانَتْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَضَحِكَ نَاسٌ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . الْحَسَنُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ مَتْرُوكُ الْحَدِيثِ . وَرَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ أَيْضًا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَبَلَةَ الْبَصْرِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكُ الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ سَلامِ بْنِ أَبِي مُطِيعٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ.
Abu al-Malih narrates from his father: We were performing prayer behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), when a blind man came and fell into a pit, that is, the well which was present in the mosque. Some of the people behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) laughed, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered those who laughed to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer. The narrator of this hadith, Hasan bin Dinar, is considered abandoned in hadith narration. This narration has also been transmitted by Abdur Rahman bin Amr, who is also considered abandoned in hadith narration. He narrated this report from Salam, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Aliyah, from our master Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him).
Hadith 603
حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الدَّانَاجُ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَافِظُ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ الأَبْرَمُ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ ، نا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الطَّرَسُوسِيُّ ، قَالُوا : نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَبَلَةَ ، نا سَلامُ بْنُ أَبِي مُطِيعٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةَ ، وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، " أَنَّ أَعْمَى تَرَدَّى فِي بِئْرٍ ، فَضَحِكَ نَاسٌ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . وَقَالَ أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، وَأَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ فَدَخَلَ أَعْمَى الْمَسْجِدَ فَتَرَدَّى فِي بِئْرٍ فَضَحِكَ النَّاسُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، وَأَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ، وَبِئْرٌ وَسَطَ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَجَاءَ أَعْمَى فَوَقَعَ فِيهَا ، فَضَحِكَ نَاسٌ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . قَالَ أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ مُنْكَرٌ . قَالَ الشَّيْخُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ : لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ سَلامٍ غَيْرُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَبَلَةَ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ يَضَعُ الْحَدِيثَ . وَرَوَاهُ دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ يَضَعُ الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ خُوطٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ أَيْضًا ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ.
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A blind man fell into a well, and some people praying behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) laughed. So the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered those who laughed to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer. Abu Umayyah has narrated this: It is reported from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading the people in prayer, when a blind man entered the mosque and fell into a well. Some people behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) laughed. Ibn Makhlad and Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Al-Aliyah have narrated this: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading the people in prayer, there was a well in the middle of the mosque, a blind man came and fell into it, so some people who were praying behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) laughed. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered those who laughed to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer. Abu Umayyah says: This hadith is munkar (denounced). Shaykh Abu Al-Hasan says: This narration has been transmitted by Abdul Rahman from Salam, and this person is matruk (abandoned), who fabricates hadiths. This narration has been transmitted by Dawud bin Muhabbar, and this person is also matruk, who fabricates hadiths. He has transmitted this narration from the father of Ayyub, who is weak, and he has narrated it from Qatadah from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him).
Hadith 604
حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَتِيقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، نا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ خُوطٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِنَا ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ ضَرِيرُ الْبَصَرِ فَوَطِئَ فِي خَبَالٍ مِنَ الأَرْضِ فَصُرِعَ ، فَضَحِكَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . وَالصَّوَابُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ قَوْلُ مَنْ رَوَاهُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، مُرْسَلا.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was leading us in prayer when a blind man came, fell into a pit, and began to cry out. Some people laughed, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered those who laughed to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer. In this regard, the statement of the person who narrated it from Qatadah, from Abu’l-‘Aliyah, as a mursal hadith, is correct.
Hadith 605
حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ الرِّيَاحِيِّ ، " أَنَّ أَعْمَى تَرَدَّى فِي بِئْرٍ ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ ، فَضَحِكَ بَعْضُ مَنْ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: A blind man fell into a well, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in prayer. Some of those praying behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) laughed at this incident, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered those who laughed to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer.
Hadith 606
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَرْبِيُّ ، نا بِشْرُ بْنُ آدَمَ ، وَخَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قَالا : نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ ، فَجَاءَ ضَرِيرٌ فَتَرَدَّى فِي بِئْرٍ فَضَحِكَ الْقَوْمُ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّذِينَ ضَحِكُوا أَنْ يُعِيدُوا الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading his companions in prayer, when a man fell into a well. Some of those present laughed, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered those who laughed to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer.
Hadith 607
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْفَارِسِيُّ ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الدَّقَّاقُ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَحْوَهُ .
This narration is also transmitted with another chain from Abu Al-Aliyah, from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Hadith 608
وَحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ ، نا إبْرَاهِيمُ الْحَرْبِيُّ ، نا بنْدَارٌ ، نا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَحْوَهُ .
This narration is also transmitted with another chain from Abu Al-Aliyah, from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Hadith 609
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ ، أنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، نا أَبُو حَفْصٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، مِثْلَهُ .
The same narration is also transmitted from Abu Al-‘Aliyah with another chain of transmission.
Hadith 610
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، نا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، عَنْ سَلْمٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي الذَّيَّالِ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : بَلَغَنَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَهُ . وَهَذَا هُوَ الصَّحِيحُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، اتَّفَقَ عَلَيْهِ مَعْمَرٌ ، وَأَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ ، فَرَوَوْهُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، وَتَابَعَهُمْ عَلَيْهِ سَلْمُ بْنُ أَبِي الذَّيَّالِ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ فَأَرْسَلَهُ ، فَهَؤُلاءِ خَمْسَةٌ ثِقَاتٌ رَوَوْهُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، مُرْسَلا ، وَأَيُّوبُ بْنُ خُوطٍ ، وَدَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَبَلَةَ ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ كُلُّهُمْ مَتْرُوكُونَ ، وَلَيْسَ فِيهِمْ مَنْ يَجُوزُ الاحْتِجَاجُ بِرِوَايَتِهِ لَوْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مُخَالِفٌ ، فَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ خَالَفَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ خَمْسَةٌ ثِقَاتٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ قَتَادَةَ ، وَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَهُوَ بَعِيدٌ مِنَ الصَّوَابِ أَيْضًا ، وَلا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا عَنِ تَابَعَهُ عَلَيْهِ ، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَعَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَالرَّاوِي لَهُ عَنْهُ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ . وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ أَيْضًا ، وَعَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَالرَّاوِي لَهُ عَنْهُ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ . وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ أَيْضًا، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْمَكِّيُّ الْمَعْرُوفُ بِسُنْدُلٍ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ذَاهِبُ الْحَدِيثِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ.
This narration is also transmitted from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through other chains of transmission.
Hadith 611
فَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ الأَنْطَاكِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ ، نا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ ، نا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ ، نا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا قَهْقَهَ أَعَادَ الْوُضُوءَ وَأَعَادَ الصَّلاةَ " . وَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When a person laughs out loud (during prayer), he should perform ablution again and repeat the prayer."
Hadith 612
فَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ حَنَانٍ ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّرْخُمِيُّ ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرُِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ ضَحِكَ فِي الصَّلاةِ قَرْقَرَةً فَلْيُعِدِ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . وَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ : " إِذَا قَهْقَهَ الرَّجُلُ أَعَادَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . وَحَدَّثَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ شَيْخٌ لأَهْلِ الْمِصِّيصَةِ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَزَارِيُّ ، وَكَانَ ضَعِيفًا سِيءَ الْحَالِ فِي الْحَدِيثِ ، حَدَّثَ بِهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَلِكَ .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever laughs out loud during prayer should perform ablution again and repeat the prayer." Hasan has narrated this: "Whoever laughs out loud will perform ablution again and repeat the prayer." This hadith has been transmitted by Sufyan, who is weak, and his status in the science of hadith is very poor. The same narration, with another chain, is also reported from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 613
حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصُّوفِيُّ ، نا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وأَحْسَنُ حَالاتِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنْ يَكُونَ وَهِمَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، عَلَى ابْنِ وَهْبٍ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ تَعَمَّدَ ذَلِكَ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ . فَقَدْ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، مُرْسَلا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِنْهُمْ : خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ ، وَمَوْهِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ . وَغَيْرُهُمْ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ فِي حَدِيثِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ فِي الإِسْنَادِ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ وَلا ذَكَرَ فِيهِ بَيْنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، وَالْحَسَنِ ، سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ ابْنُ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ قَدْ رَوَيَاهُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، مُرْسَلا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَهَذِهِ أَقَاوِيلُ أَرْبَعَةٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ كُلُّهَا بَاطِلَةٌ ؛ لأَنَّ الْحَسَنَ إِنَّمَا سَمِعَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مِنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمِنْقَرِيِّ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ الرِّيَاحِيِّ ، مُرْسَلا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
This narration is also transmitted with some other chains of transmission.
Hadith 614
حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْوَرَّاقُ ، نا خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ ، نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : " بَيْنَمَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فِي بَصَرِهِ ضُرٌّ ، أَوْ قَالَ : أَعْمَى فَوَقَعَ فِي بِئْرٍ ، فَضَحِكَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ فَأَمَرَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . فَذَكَرْتُهُ لِحَفْصِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، فَقَالَ : أَنَا حَدَّثْتُ بِهِ الْحَسَنَ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، فَهَذَا هُوَ الصَّوَابُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ ، مُرْسَلا .
Sayyiduna Hasan al-Basri narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was performing prayer, during which a man came whose eyesight was weak (the narrator is unsure) or he was blind. He fell into a well, and some people laughed. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered those who laughed to repeat their prayer and perform ablution. The narrator states: I mentioned this narration to Hafs bin Salman, and he said: "I narrated this hadith to Hasan al-Basri on the authority of Hafsa (bint Sirin), and the correct version is that this narration is transmitted as a mursal narration from Hasan al-Basri."
Hadith 615
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيُّ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ L12530 ، نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ L12383 الْقَاضِي ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ L5792 ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ L4493 : هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ يَدُورُ عَلَى أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، فَقُلْتُ : قَدْ رَوَاهُ الْحَسَنُ ، مُرْسَلا ، فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ L2491 ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمِنْقَرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَنَا حَدَّثْتُ بِهِ الْحَسَنَ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، فَقُلْتُ : فَقَدْ رَوَاهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ، مُرْسَلا ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنِي شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : أَنَا حَدَّثْتُ بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، فَقُلْتُ : قَدْ رَوَاهُ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، مُرْسَلا ، فَقَالَ : قَرَأْتُهُ فِي كِتَابِ ابْنِ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ.
This narration is also transmitted through some other chains.
Hadith 616
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا أَبُو الأَزْهَرِ ، نا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، نا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّي ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ فِي الصَّلاةِ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Hasan bin Abu al-Hasan reports: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) commanded those who laughed during prayer to repeat the prayer and to perform ablution again.
Hadith 617
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، نا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْبَزِيعِيُّ بِالْمِصِّيصَةِ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَاقِدِيُّ ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ فِي صَحِيفَةِ آلِ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ ، نا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : " بَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَوَقَعَ فِي بِئْرٍ ، فَضَحِكَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . وَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، مُرْسَلا ، بِمُخَالَفَةِ مَا رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْهُ .

Hadith 618
فَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُوهَبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، نا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : " بَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَوَقَعَ فِي حُفْرَةٍ ، فَضَحِكَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ، فَأَمَرَ مَنْ يَضْحَكُ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Hasan al-Basri narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading the prayer, during which a man came and fell into a well. Some people laughed, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered those who laughed to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer.
Hadith 619
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، ثنا عَمِّي ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ فِي الصَّلاةِ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Hasan bin Abu al-Hasan narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered those who laughed during prayer to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer.
Hadith 620
وَحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ ، نا إبْرَاهِيمُ الْحَرْبِيُّ ، نا خالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ ، نا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي مثل قَوْلِ مَوْهَبِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، وَهَذَا هُوَ الصَّوَابُ عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ.
Hasan narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading the prayer, after that the narration is as previously mentioned.
Hadith 621
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ مَطَرٍ ، نا مُحَمَّدٌ الْجَرْجَرَائيُّ ، نا الْوَلِيدُ ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : " لا وُضُوءَ فِي الْقَهْقَهَةِ وَالضَّحِكِ " . فَلَوْ كَانَ مَا رَوَاهُ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَحِيحًا ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، لَمَا أَفْتَى بِخِلافِهِ وَضِدِّهِ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ . وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، مُرْسَلا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَدْ كَتَبْنَاهُ قَبْلَ هَذَا . وَرَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ أَبُو حَنِيفَةَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، مُرْسَلا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَوَهِمَ فِيهِ أَبُو حَنِيفَةَ عَلَى مَنْصُورٍ . وَإِنَّمَا رَوَاهُ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدٍ ، وَمَعْبَدٌ هَذَا لا صُحْبَةَ لَهُ ، وَيُقَالُ : إِنَّهُ أَوَّلُ مَنْ تَكَلَّمَ فِي الْقَدَرِ مِنَ التَّابِعِينَ حَدَّثَ بِهِ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ : غَيْلانُ بْنُ جَامِعٍ ، وَهُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ ، وَهُمَا أَحْفَظُ مِنْ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ لِلإِسْنَادِ . فَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ .
Zuhri says: "(During prayer) laughing out loud or smiling does not break wudu." If what Zuhri has narrated from Hasan, from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), was authentic according to Zuhri, then he would not have given a fatwa contrary and opposite to it. And Allah knows best!
Hadith 622
فَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، وَآخَرُونَ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ الْقَاضِي ، حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، نا أَبُو حَنِيفَةَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا هُوَ فِي الصَّلاةِ إِذْ أَقْبَلَ أَعْمَى يُرِيدُ الصَّلاةَ فَوَقَعَ فِي زُبْيَةٍ ، فَاسْتَضْحَكَ الْقَوْمُ حَتَّى قَهْقَهُوا ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ قَهْقَهَ فَلْيُعِدِ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . وَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ غَيْلانَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ بِمُخَالَفَةِ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ عَنْهُ .
Ma'bad narrates this about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): Once he (peace be upon him) was leading the prayer, a blind man came and fell into a pit, so some people laughed, to the extent that they burst out laughing. When he (peace be upon him) finished the prayer, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever among you has laughed out loud, let him perform ablution and repeat the prayer."
Hadith 623
فَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، قَالا : نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّهَيْرِيُّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى ، نا أَبِي ، نا غَيْلانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ الْوَاسِطِيِّ هُوَ ابْنُ زَاذَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الْغَدَاةَ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ أَعْمَى وَقَرِيبٌ مِنْ مُصَلَّى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِئْرٌ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا جُلَّةٌ ، فَجَاءَ الأَعْمَى يَمْشِي حَتَّى وَقَعَ فِيهَا ، فَضَحِكَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ وَهُمْ فِي الصَّلاةِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَمَا قَضَى الصَّلاةَ : " مَنْ ضَحِكَ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيُعِدِ الْوُضُوءَ وَلْيُعِدِ الصَّلاةَ " .وَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ هُشَيْمٍ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ بِمُخَالَفَةِ رِوَايَةِ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ.
Mu'abbad al-Juhani narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading the morning prayer, when a blind man came. Near the place where the Prophet (peace be upon him) was praying, there was a well with a basket placed over it. The blind man walked there and fell into the pit. Some people laughed, even though they were praying. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) finished the prayer, he said: "Whoever among you laughed out loud, let him perform ablution (wudu) again and repeat the prayer."
Hadith 624
فَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَكِيلُ ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، وَعَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةَ ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، نا هُشَيْمٌ ، نا مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، وَخَالِدٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فَمَرَّ رَجُلٌ فِي بَصَرِهِ سُوءٌ عَلَى بِئْرٍ عَلَيْهَا خَصَفَةٌ فَوَقَعَ فِيهَا ، فَضَحِكَ مَنْ كَانَ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلاتَهُ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ ضَحِكَ فَلْيُعِدِ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . لَفْظُ زِيَادٍ .
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was performing prayer when a man came, whose eyesight was weak. He passed by a well (pit) over which there was a basket, and he fell into the pit. Some of those praying behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) laughed. The Prophet (peace be upon him) finished the prayer and said: "Whoever among you laughed should perform ablution again and repeat the prayer." These are the words of Ziyad bin Ayyub.
Hadith 625
وَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ ، نا هشَيْمٌ ، نا خالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ . ح قَالَ : وَثنا مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ ، إِلا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : فَتَرَدَّى فِيهَا فَضَحِكَ نَاسٌ خَلْفَهُ فَأَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَهُ . وَهَذَا هُوَ الصَّحِيحُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، وَقَوْلُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ خَطَأٌ قَبِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، وَوُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، كَذَلِكَ.
Ibn Sirin narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in prayer, after which the hadith is narrated as previously, however, he has reported these words: That person fell into the pit, so some people behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) laughed, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) gave this order, after which the hadith is narrated as previously. This narration is authentic, transmitted from Khalid, from Hafsa, from Abu’l-‘Aliyah. Hasan says: This is transmitted from Khalid, from Abu’l-Malih, from his father, and this is an extremely clear mistake. The same narration has been transmitted by some other narrators from Khalid, from Hafsa, from Abu’l-‘Aliyah.
Hadith 626
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْغَزِّيُّ ، قَالا : نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْهُذَيْلِ وَهِيَ حَفْصَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ فِي الصَّلاةِ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فِي بَصَرِهِ سُوءٌ ، فَوَقَعَ فِي بِئْرٍ ، فَضَحِكُوا مِنْهُ ، فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was performing prayer, when a man came whose eyesight was weak, and he fell into a pit. The people laughed at him, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered: Those who laughed should perform ablution again and repeat the prayer.
Hadith 627
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ ، نا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، وَقَبِيصَةُ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْهُذَيْلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، بِهَذَا.

Hadith 628
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ ، نا حَجَّاجٌ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْحَرْبِيُّ ، قَالا : ثنا مُوسَى ، وَابْنُ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ ، فَجَاءَ أَعْمَى فَوَطِئَ عَلَى خَصَفَةٍ عَلَى رَأْسِ بِئْرٍ فَتَرَدَّى فِي الْبِئْرِ ، فَضَحِكَ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْضَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . وَكَذَا رَوَاهُ وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، وَأَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ.
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in prayer, when a man came and placed his foot on a basket that was placed on the mouth of a well. He fell into that well, so the people behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) laughed. The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered some of those who laughed to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer. This narration is also transmitted with another chain of transmission.
Hadith 629
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، نا أَيُّوبُ ، وَخَالِدٌ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ وَفِي الْقَوْمِ رَجُلٌ ضَرِيرُ الْبَصَرِ فَوَقَعَ فِي الْبِئْرِ ، فَضَحِكَ طَوَائِفُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَلَمَّا صَلَّى أَمَرَ كُلَّ مَنْ كَانَ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ .
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in prayer. Among those present was a blind man, who fell into a well, so some of the companions laughed. The Prophet (peace be upon him) completed the prayer and ordered those who laughed to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer. This narration is also transmitted with another chain of narration.
Hadith 630
حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مثل حَدِيثِ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ . وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ َطَرٌ الْوَرَّاقُ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ.
The same narration, with another chain of transmission, is reported from Abu Al-‘Aliyah, from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The same narration is also reported with other chains of transmission.
Hadith 631
حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا أَبَانُ ، نا مَطَرٌ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، قَالَ : " بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فِي بَصَرِهِ سُوءٌ ، فَمَرَّ عَلَى بِئْرٍ قَدْ غُشِيَ عَلَيْهَا فَوَقَعَ فِيهَا ، فَضَحِكَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ حَفْصُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمِنْقَرِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ.

حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَوَقَعَ عَلَى بِئْرٍ ، فَضَحِكَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَيُعِيدَ الصَّلاةَ " . وَرَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، مُرْسَلا ، حَدَّثَ بِهِ عَنْهُ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْهُمْ : سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، وَزَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، وَحَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، وَرَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، وَغَيْرُهُمْ ، فَاتَّفَقُوا عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . وَرَوَاهُ خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَمْ يُسَمِّ الرَّجُلَ وَلا ذَكَرَ أَلَهُ صُحْبَةٌ أَمْ لا ؟ وَلَمْ يَصْنَعْ خَالِدٌ شَيْئًا وَقَدْ خَالَفَهُ خَمْسَةٌ أَثْبَاتٌ ثِقَاتٌ حُفَّاظٌ وَقَوْلُهُمْ أَوْلَى بِالصَّوَابِ. فَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ هِشَامٍ .

Hadith 633
فَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ دَعْلَجُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، نا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ ، " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ ، فَمَرَّ رَجُلٌ فِي بَصَرِهِ سُوءٌ فَتَرَدَّى فِي بِئْرٍ ، فَضَحِكَ طَوَائِفُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَانَ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " . أَمَا حَدِيثُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَمَنْ تَابَعَهُ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ ، بِمُخَالَفَةِ رِوَايَةِ خَالِدٍ عَنْهُ .
Abu’l-‘Aliyah narrates from an Ansari: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in prayer, when a man with weak eyesight came and fell into a pit. Some of those present laughed, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered those who laughed to perform ablution again and to repeat the prayer.
Hadith 634
فَحَدَّثَنِي الْقَاضِي الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الرِّفَاعِيُّ ، نا وَكِيعٌ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed those who laughed to repeat their prayer and perform ablution again.
Hadith 635
وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، نا زَائِدَةُ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، نا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، قَالَ : " جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فِي بَصَرِهِ سُوءٌ فَدَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي ، فَتَرَدَّى فِي حُفْرَةٍ كَانَتْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَضَحِكَ طَوَائِفُ مِنْهُمْ ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلاتَهُ أَمَرَ مَنْ كَانَ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: A man came whose eyesight was weak, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was performing prayer. That man fell into a pit which was present in the mosque, so some people laughed. The Prophet (peace be upon him) finished the prayer and ordered those who laughed: they should perform ablution again and repeat the prayer.
Hadith 636
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْحَرْبِيُّ ، أنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، نا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَحْوَهُ .
The same narration is also transmitted with another chain from Abu Al-Aliyah, attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Hadith 637
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْفَارِسِيُّ ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الدَّقَّاقُ ، قَالا : نا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، أنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، أنا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَهُ .وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو هَاشِمٍ الرُّمَّانِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، .

Hadith 638
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاضِي الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الرِّفَاعِيُّ ، نا وَكِيعٌ ، نا أَبِي ، ح وَثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْحَسَّانِيُّ ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ ، نا أَبِي ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، " أَنَّ أَعْمَى وَقَعَ فِي بِئْرٍ ، فَضَحِكَ بَعْضُ مَنْ كَانَ خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: A person fell into a pit, so some of those who were praying behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) laughed. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) then ordered those who laughed to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer.
Hadith 639
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ ، فِيمَا أَرَى عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ صَلاةَ الْفَجْرِ أَوْ بَعْضَ صَلاةِ اللَّيْلِ ، وَكَانَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ بِئْرٌ ، وَكَانَ رَجُلٌ فِي بَصَرِهِ ضُرٌّ فَوَقَعَ فِيهَا ، فَضَحِكَ النَّاسُ ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلاةَ ، قَالَ : " مِمَّا ضَحَكْتُمْ ؟ " ، فَأَخْبَرُوهُ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنْ ضَحِكَ فَلْيُعِدِ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading the people in the Fajr prayer or the evening prayer. There was a pit in the mosque, and a man, whose eyesight was weak, fell into the pit. Some people laughed. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) finished the prayer and asked the people the reason for their laughter. They explained the reason, so he (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever laughed should perform ablution again and repeat the prayer."
Hadith 640
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْحَرْبِيُّ ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، نا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، قَالَ : ضَحِكَ نَاسٌ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنْ ضَحِكَ فَلْيُعِدِ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ " .
Abu Al-Aliyah narrates: Some people among those who were praying behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) laughed, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever laughed should perform ablution again and repeat the prayer."
