Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 1506 to 1509)
It has been established through multiple authentic chains that there is a prostration (sajdah) in Surah Al-Inshiqaq, and it is at the verse: «﴿وَإِذَاقُرِئَعَلَيْهِمُالْقُرْآنُلَايَسْجُدُونَ﴾ [الانشقاق : 21]», meaning that when the disbelievers are recited the Qur’an, they do not prostrate; therefore, not performing the prostration is a sign of disbelief. Hence, a believer should perform the prostration when reciting this verse.
