«يا معاذ بن جبل! ما من أحد يشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأني رسول الله صدقا من قلبه إلا حرمه الله على النار قال: يا رسول الله! أفلا أخبر الناس فيستبشروا قال: إذا يتكلوا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Mu'adh bin Jabal! Whoever testifies sincerely from his heart that 'La ilaha illallah' (there is no god worthy of worship except Allah) and that I am the Messenger of Allah, Allah makes him forbidden for the Fire." Mu'adh said: O Messenger of Allah! Shall I not tell the people so that they may rejoice? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then they would give up deeds and rely on this alone."
