«يا عوف! احفظ خلالا ستا بين يدي الساعة إحداهن موتي ثم فتح بيت المقدس ثم داء يظهر فيكم يستشهد الله به ذراريكم وأنفسكم ويزكي به أموالكم ثم تكون الأموال فيكم حتى يعطى الرجل مائة دينار فيظل ساخطا وفتنة تكون بينكم لا يبقى بيت مسلم إلا دخلته ثم يكون بينكم وبين بني الأصفر هدنة فيغدرون فيسيرون إليكم في ثمانين غاية تحت كل غاية اثني عشر ألفا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Awf! Remember six things before the Hour: first, my death; then the conquest of Bayt al-Maqdis; then an epidemic that will spread among you, through which Allah will grant martyrdom to your offspring and yourselves and will purify your wealth; then wealth will become so abundant among you that a man will be given a hundred dinars and still remain displeased; then a tribulation will arise among you that will not leave a single Muslim home without entering it; then there will be a truce between you and Banu al-Asfar, but they will betray it and march against you under eighty banners, with twelve thousand soldiers under each banner."
