«لا يزال يستجاب للعبد ما لم يدع بإثم أو قطيعة رحم ما لم يستعجل يقول: قد دعوت وقد دعوت فلم يستجب لي فيستحسر عند ذلك ويدع الدعاء»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The supplication of a servant will continue to be answered as long as he does not pray for something sinful or for severing ties of kinship, and as long as he is not hasty, (that is,) he says: I prayed and I prayed but my prayer was not answered, and then he becomes despondent over that and abandons supplication."
