"أتاني جبريل في أول ما أوحي إلي فعلمني الوضوء ¤ والصلاة فلما فرغ [من] الوضوء أخذ غرفة من الماء فنضح بها فرجه"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"In the earliest days of revelation Jibril came to me and taught me the method of ablution and prayer. When he had finished the ablution, he took a handful of water and sprinkled it on his private part."
