«لا تبادروا الإمام إذا كبر فكبروا وإذا قال» ولا الضالين: فقولوا: آمين وإذا ركع فاركعوا وإذا قال سمع الله لمن حمده فقولوا: اللهم ربنا ولك الحمد ولا ترفعوا قبله "
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do not race ahead of the imam. When he says the takbir, say the takbir; when he says 'Wa la d-dallin', say 'Amin'; when he bows, bow; when he says 'Sami'a Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears the one who praises Him)', say 'Allahumma Rabbana wa laka l-hamd (O Allah, our Lord, and to You be all praise)'; and do not raise (your heads) before him."
