«إذا قام أحدكم إلى الصلاة فلا يبزق أمامه فإنما يناجي الله تبارك وتعالى ما دام في مصلاه، ولا عن يمينه فإن عن يمينه ملكا، وليبصق عن يساره أو تحت قدمه فيدفنها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When one of you stands for prayer, he should not spit in front of him, for as long as he is at his place of prayer he is conversing intimately with Allah, the Blessed and Exalted; nor should he spit to his right, for on his right there is an angel. Rather, he should spit to his left or under his foot and bury it (in the soil)."
