«إذا سمعتم المؤذن فقولوا مثل ما يقول ثم صلوا علي فإنه من صلى علي صلاة صلى الله عليه بها عشرا ثم سلوا الله لي الوسيلة فإنها منزلة في الجنة لا تنبغي إلا لعبد من عباد الله وأرجوا أن أكون أنا هو فمن سأل لي الوسيلة حلت عليه الشفاعة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When you hear the muezzin (calling the adhan), say the same as he says. Then send blessings upon me, for whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah Almighty sends down ten mercies upon him in return. Then ask Allah for al-Wasilah for me, for it is a station in Paradise that befits only one servant among the servants of Allah, and I hope that I will be that servant. So whoever asks for al-Wasilah for me, my intercession becomes due for him."
