«إذا زنت أمة أحدكم فتبين زناها فليجلدها ولا يثرب، ثم إن زنت فليجلدها ولا يثرب، ثم إن زنت الثالثة فليبعها ولو بحبل من شعر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When the slave woman of one of you commits zina and her zina is established, let him flog her (the prescribed punishment) and not taunt or reproach her. Then if she commits zina (again), let him flog her and not reproach her. Then if she commits zina a third time, let him sell her, even for a rope made of hair."
