«إذا رأى أحدكم مبتلى فقال: الحمد لله الذي عافاني مما ابتلاك به وفضلني عليك وعلى كثير من عباده تفضيلا، كان شكر تلك النعمة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When one of you sees someone afflicted (or sick) and says: 'Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi 'afani mimmab-talaka bihi wa faddalani 'alayka wa 'ala kathirin min 'ibadihi tafdila' (All praise is for Allah who has kept me safe from that with which He has afflicted you, and has greatly favoured me over you and over many of His servants), then that is the thanks for that blessing (of well-being)."
