كان إذا أصبح وإذا أمسى قال: " أصبحنا على فطرة الإسلام وكلمة الإخلاص ودين نبينا محمد وملة أبينا إبراهيم حنيفا مسلما وما كان من المشركين"
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the morning and when he reached the evening, he would say: 'We have reached the morning upon the natural way (fitrah) of Islam, upon the word of sincerity, upon the religion of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and upon the creed of our father Ibrahim (peace be upon him), who was upright, a Muslim, and was not of the polytheists.'"
