«إذا أصبح أحدكم فليقل: أصبحنا وأصبح الملك لله رب العالمين اللهم إني أسألك خير هذا اليوم فتحه ونصره ونوره وبركته وهداه وأعوذ بك من شر ما فيه وشر ما قبله وشر ما بعده ثم إذا أمسى فليقل مثل ذلك»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When any of you wakes up in the morning, he should say: 'Asbahna wa asbaha al-mulku lillahi rabbi al-'alamin. Allahumma inni as'aluka khayra hadha al-yawm, fathahu wa nasrahu wa nurahu wa barakatahu wa hudahu, wa a'udhu bika min sharri ma fihi wa sharri ma qablahu wa sharri ma ba'dahu' (We have entered the morning, and the dominion of Allah, the Lord of all the worlds, has entered the morning. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this day: its victory, its help, its light, its blessing and its guidance; and I seek refuge in You from the evil that is in it, the evil that is before it and the evil that is after it). Then when he reaches the evening, he should say similar words."
