«خلق الله آدم فضرب كتفه اليمنى فأخرج ذرية بيضاء كأنهم اللبن ثم ضرب كتفه اليسرى فخرج ذرية سوداء كأنهم الحمم قال: هؤلاء في الجنة ولا أبالي وهؤلاء في النار ولا أبالي»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah Almighty created Adam (peace be upon him), then struck his right shoulder and brought out from it white offspring as though they were milk; then He struck his left shoulder and brought out from it black offspring as though they were charcoal. Then He said: 'These are for Paradise, and I do not care; and these are for Hell, and I do not care.'"
