"إياكم ومحقرات الذنوب فإنما مثل محقرات الذنوب ¤ كمثل قوم نزلوا بطن واد فجاء ذا بعود وجاء ذا بعود حتى حملوا ما أنضجوا به خبزهم وإن محقرات الذنوب متى يؤخذ بها صاحبها تهلكه"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Beware of regarding sins as trivial, for the example of these small sins is like a people who halted in a valley; then one man brought a stick and another man brought a stick, until they had gathered enough wood with which they baked their bread. And indeed, the sins regarded as trivial, when they seize the one who committed them, will destroy him."
