«ألا أدلكم على ما يمحو الله به الخطايا ويرفع به الدرجات؟ إسباغ الوضوء على المكاره وكثرة الخطا إلى المساجد وانتظار الصلاة بعد الصلاة فذلكم الرباط فذلكم الرباط فذلكم الرباط»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Shall I not tell you of the deeds by which Allah Almighty wipes away sins and raises ranks? Performing ablution completely even at times of hardship and difficulty, taking many steps to the mosques, and waiting for the next prayer after a prayer. That is ribat (that is, true guarding at the frontier), that is ribat, that is ribat."
