«ألا أحدثكم بأمر إن أخذتم به أدركتم من قبلكم ولم يدرككم من بعدكم وكنتم خير من أنتم بين ظهرانيه إلا من عمل مثله؟ تسبحون وتحمدون وتكبرون خلف كل صلاة ثلاثا وثلاثين»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Shall I not tell you of a deed which, if you adopt it, you will catch up with those who have gone ahead of you, no one who comes after you will be able to reach you, and you will become the best of those among whom you live, except for one who does exactly the same deed? That deed is that after every prayer you say 'Subhan Allah' (Glory be to Allah) thirty-three times, 'Al-hamdu lillah' (All praise is for Allah) thirty-three times and 'Allahu akbar' (Allah is the Greatest) thirty-three times."
