«إني خرجت لأخبركم بليلة القدر وإنه تلاحى فلان وفلان فرفعت وعسى أن يكون خيرا لكم فالتمسوها في السبع والتسع والخمس»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I came out to inform you about Laylat al-Qadr, but so-and-so and so-and-so (two men) quarrelled with each other, so it (the knowledge of its exact date) was taken away, and perhaps that is better for you. So seek it on the seventh, the ninth and the fifth (odd nights of the last ten)."
