«إن رجلا حضره الموت فلما أيس من الحياة أوصى أهله إذا أنا مت فاجمعوا لي حطبا كثيرا جزلا ثم أوقدوا فيه نارا حتى إذا أكلت لحمي وخلصت إلى عظمي فامتحشت فخذوها فاطحنوها ثم انظروا يوما راحا فاذروها في اليم ففعلوا ما أمرهم فجمعه الله وقال له: لم فعلت ذلك؟ قال: من خشيتك فغفر له»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, death came to a man, and when he despaired of life he instructed his family: 'When I die, gather a great deal of firewood for me, then light a fire in it, until, when it has eaten my flesh, reached my bones and burnt them, take them and grind them, then watch for a windy day and scatter them into the sea.' They did as he had commanded them. Then Allah gathered his particles and asked him: 'Why did you do that?' He said: 'Out of fear of You!' So Allah forgave him."
