«إن المؤمنين يشدد عليهم لأنه لا تصيب المؤمن نكبة من شوكة فما فوقها ولا وجع إلا رفع الله له بها درجة وحط عنه خطيئة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, hardships (trials) are made severe upon the believers because no calamity befalls a believer, whether the prick of a thorn or anything greater, nor any pain, except that Allah Almighty raises him a degree by it and removes a sin from him."
