«إن الله قد أمده لرؤيته فإن أغمي عليكم فأكملوا العدة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Allah Almighty has extended the period for sighting it (the moon) (that is, He has made its sighting necessary), so if the horizon is clouded over for you, complete the count."
