«إن الله تعالى اصطفى كنانة من ولد إسماعيل وصطفى قريشا من كنانة واصطفى من قريش بني هاشم واصطفاني من بني هاشم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Allah Almighty chose Kinanah from the descendants of Isma'il (peace be upon him), chose Quraysh from Kinanah, chose Banu Hashim from Quraysh, and chose me from Banu Hashim."
"Indeed, Allah Almighty chose Kinanah from the descendants of Isma'il (peace be upon him), chose Quraysh from Kinanah, chose Banu Hashim from Quraysh, and chose me from Banu Hashim."
