«إن عطب منها شيء فانحره ثم اغمس نعله في دمه ثم اضرب صفحته ثم خل بينه وبين الناس فليأكلوه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"If any of them (the sacrificial animals) becomes exhausted and breaks down (or is close to dying), then slaughter it (by nahr), then dip its neck-marker in its own blood and strike it on its side, and leave it for the people so that they may eat it."
