«أمرت أن أقاتل الناس حتى يشهدوا أن لا إله إلا الله ويؤمنوا بي وبما جئت به فإذا فعلوا ذلك فقد عصموا مني دماءهم وأموالهم إلا بحقها وحسابهم على الله عز وجل»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no true god except Allah, and believe in me and in the Shari'ah that I have brought. When they do that, they have certainly protected their lives and their wealth from me, except by its right, and their reckoning is with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
