«أمرت أن أقاتل الناس حتى يشهدوا أن لا إله إلا الله وأني رسول الله ويقيموا الصلاة ويؤتوا الزكاة فإذا فعلوا ذلك عصموا مني دماءهم وأموالهم إلا بحقها وحسابهم على الله»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no true god except Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, and they establish the prayer and pay the zakah. When they do that, they have protected their lives and their wealth from me, except by the right of Islam, and their reckoning is with Allah Almighty."
