«أما بعد فإن أصدق الحديث كتاب الله وإن أفضل الهدي هدي محمد وشر الأمور محدثاتها وكل محدثة بدعة وكل بدعة ضلالة وكل ضلالة في النار، أتتكم الساعة بغتة بعثت أنا والساعة هكذا صبحتكم الساعة ومستكم أنا أولى بكل مؤمن من نفسه من ترك مالا فلأهله ومن ترك دينا أوضياعا فإلي وعلي وأنا ولي المؤمنين»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"To proceed: Indeed, the most truthful speech is the Book of Allah, the best way is the way of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst of affairs are newly invented matters (in the religion). Every newly invented matter is an innovation (bid'ah), every innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance leads to the Fire. The Hour will come upon you suddenly. I and the Hour have been sent together like these two (fingers). The Hour has come upon your heads. I am closer to every believer than his own self. Whoever dies leaving wealth, it belongs to his family, and whoever leaves a debt or helpless children, the responsibility for it is upon me and they are to come to me. And I am the guardian and patron of the believers."
