«اللهم إني أتخذ عندك عهدا لن تخلفنيه فإنما أنا بشر فأيما مؤمن آذيته أو شتمته أو جلدته أو لعنته فاجعلها له صلاة وزكاة وقربة تقربه بها إليك يوم القيامة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Allah, I make a covenant with You which You will never break: I am only a human being, so whichever believer I have hurt, or reviled, or flogged, or cursed, make it for him a mercy, a purification and a means of nearness by which You bring him near to Yourself on the Day of Resurrection."
