«أفضل الصدقة ما كان عن ظهر غنى واليد العليا خير من اليد السفلى وابدأ بمن تعول»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The best charity is that which is given after wealth (that is, after needs have been met), and the upper hand (the giver) is better than the lower hand (the receiver), and begin charity with those whose support is your responsibility."
