It is narrated from Sayyiduna Usamah bin Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he prayed the two (sunnah) rak'ahs of Fajr with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), praying close to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed two light rak'ahs, and he heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting this supplication: 'Allahumma rabba Jibrila wa Mika'ila wa Israfila wa Muhammadin, a'udhu bika min al-nar' (O Allah, Lord of Jibril, Mika'il, Israfil and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), I seek refuge with You from the Fire (of Hell)). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said these words three times. (After this) comes the mention of Abdullah bin Abd al-Malik Abi al-Lahm and of his freed slaves who accepted Islam with him.
