حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن أحمد بن بُطَّة بن إسحاق الأصبهاني، حدثنا الحسن بن الجَهْم الأصبهاني، حدثنا الحسين بن الفَرَج، حدثنا محمد بن عمر قال: وحدثني عبد الله بن جعفر، حدثني عبد الحكيم بن عبد الله، عن عِكْرمة قال: رأيتُ ابن عبّاس يَلبَسُ المِطْرَفَ من الخَزِّ المنصوب الحراني بمزالف (2) ويأخذُه بألفٍ (3).

Ikrimah narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) wearing a costly silk wrap (mitraf) woven in Harran, with patterns on it, and he had bought it for a thousand (dirhams or dinars).

قال ابن عمر: وحدثني عبد الله بن جعفر، حدثتني أمُّ بكرٍ بنت المِسوَر ابن مَحْرَمة: أنَّ المِسوَرَ بن مَخرَمة اعتَلَّ، فجاءه ابنُ عبّاس نصفَ النهار يعودُه، فقال له المسور: يا أبا عبّاس، هلَّا ساعةً غيرَ هذه؟ قال: فقال ابن عبّاس: إِنَّ أَحبَّ الساعاتِ إلي أن أؤدِّيَ فيها الحقِّ إليك، أشَقُها عليَّ (1).
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Umar (al-Waqidi) that Sayyidah Umm Bakr bint al-Miswar bin Makhramah narrates that Sayyiduna al-Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill, and Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) came to visit him at midday. Al-Miswar said to him: O Abu al-Abbas, was there no other time than this? Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "The most beloved hour to me is the one in which fulfilling your right is hardest (most difficult) for me."

قال ابن عمر: وحدثني إسحاق بن يحيى، حدثنا أبو سَلَمة الحضرمي قال: رأيتُ قبرَ ابن عبّاس وابنُ الحنفيّة قائمٌ عليه، فأَمَرَ به أن يُسطَّحَ (2).
Abu Salamah al-Hadrami narrates: I saw the grave of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), and Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah was standing there. He ordered that the grave be made level (flat).
